| Registration
|
|
Team registration will take place from 6-7:30 pm on Friday, August 24th, 2012 at the Gettysburg Firehall. Directions to the Gettysburg Firehall: 35 North Stratton Street, Gettysburg, PA 17325
Certified rosters, player passes with photos and medical
release forms will be checked and verified at that time.
Permission to travel forms are only required for teams outside
of Region 1. New Jersey State Association does require teams from that state to obtain a permission to travel form.

| Coaches Meeting
|
| There is a coaches meeting held immediately after the conclusion
of registration on Friday evening. While this meeting is not
mandatory, coaches and/or team parents are encouraged to attend.
Any last minute changes are covered at this meeting. This
meeting will take place at 7:45 pm and will last approximately 20 to 30 minutes. |

Click and become a fan of the Battlefield Blast! In addition to our website, text messaging, & e-mail, we will be using Facebook to post announcements related to registration, inclement weather, team acceptance, schedules, t-shirts, pre-order sales, and anything related to the Battlefield Blast.

| Games |
|
All teams are scheduled 6 games: three 25-minute games and three
50-minute games. No games will be played on Friday. Please reserve
Friday evening for mandatory team registration. On Saturday, (weather permitting) each team will play three mini-games and one full-length (50-minute)
game. All teams will return on Sunday to play two full-length
games. If for some reason a team is a no-show in your division it's possible to play fewer than 6 games.

| Rules |
| All games are played in accordance with FIFA rules, except
as specially modified by Tournament
Rules. A full set of Tournament Rules can be found on
this website.
This is a patch exchange tournament. We encourage patch
exchange, however, it is not required.

| Awards
|
|
Individual player trophies are presented to first and second place teams in each division of U9 through U18 age groups.
If there are (4) or less teams in a division only 1st place trophies will be awarded.

| Eligibility |
|
The Battlefield Blast is open to both Boys and Girls competitive
club teams. This is a USYSA sanctioned tournament through
Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Association. All teams
must be in good standing with their state association in
order to participate.
Official team rosters, validated player passes with photos
and medical release forms are required of all teams accepted
into the tournament. Permission to Travel forms are only
required if your team is from outside Region 1.

| General
Description |
Major regional tournament for competitive club teams hosted by the Gettysburg Youth Soccer Club. All apsects of the tournaments, including but not limited to planning, registration and adminstration, are managed by the Complex Group Inc. |

Groups |
U9, U10, U11, U12 (8 v 8)
U12 - U18 (11 v 11)
(U12 will be 8 v 8 and 11 v 11) Formats
Tournament is open to both boys and girls teams at each age group.

| Field Locations
|
Numerous sites in Gettysburg, PA and the surrounding communities.
Specific playing locations will be determined after the
tournament deadline date has passed. We will not know where individual age groups are playing until after that time, please do not email us in advance.

| Officials
|
Each game will have 3 officials. The younger
ages (U9 & U10) will have at least one certified center
official and 2 club linesmen. |
| Awards
|
All divisions of (5) or more teams will receive individual player trophies for 1st and 2nd place teams. Divisions of (4) or less teams only 1st place trophies will be awarded. |
| Guest
Players |
U9 thru U11 and u12(8v8) - 2 guest players are permitted if necessary
to ensure an adequate number of players. The size of the
entire roster, including guest players, is 14.
U12(11v11) and up: Up to 3 guest players are permitted if necessary
to ensure an adequate number of players. The size of the
entire roster, including guest players, is 18.

U9 and U10: $560
U11 to U18: $585
All U11s play 8v8. There will be both 11v11 and 8v8 for U12.
Note: Withdrawing a team from the tournament must be done in writing and received in our office on or before the tournament entry deadline to be eligible for a refund. Withdrawing any team after the tournament entry deadline date may result in the forfeit of some or all of the tournament entry fee.
In the event of bad weather, shortening or canceling this event, entry fees may not be returned. |
| Team Paperwork |
All teams are REQUIRED to present the following items at
Registration:
- Your state-approved roster and/or a copy of such that we may keep;
- Player passes for each player INCLUDING all guest players;
- Medical release forms for each player INCLUDING all
guest players (Your club's own medical release forms will
suffice)
- Permission to Travel Form, if your team is from OUTSIDE Region 1 New Jersey State Association does require teams from that state to obtain a permission to travel form.

need to provide us with a state approved Permission to Travel
Form. New Jersey State Association does require teams from that state to obtain a permission to travel form. In order to obtain this form, you will need a copy
of The Gettysburg Youth Soccer Club's Permission
to Host Form. |
